Wholesale Inquires
We work with select retailers who share our appreciation for quality craftsmanship and timeless design. If you're interested in carrying Minglewood boards in your shop, we'd like to hear from you. Our wholesale program is designed for galleries, boutiques, game shops, and specialty retailers who value handmade goods.
Who We Work With
Our boards fit naturally in several retail environments. High-end game shops that curate quality pieces, leather goods boutiques that appreciate traditional craftsmanship, luxury home decor stores, museum gift shops, country clubs and private clubs, and corporate gift companies looking for distinctive items.
We're selective about our wholesale partnerships because we want to ensure our boards are presented in environments that reflect the care we put into making them. We're looking for retailers who understand the value of handmade goods and can communicate that to their customers.
Wholesale Pricing
Our wholesale pricing reflects the handcrafted nature of our boards and the time investment each piece requires. Because each board takes two full days to complete, we structure our wholesale program to be sustainable for both our studio and our retail partners.
Standard Wholesale Rate: 60% of Retail
For orders of 3-5 boards. Suggested retail price: $1,000-$1,500 per board. Wholesale cost: $600-$900 per board.
Volume Pricing: 55% of Retail
For orders of 6-9 boards. Provides additional margin for committed partners.
High-Volume Pricing: 50% of Retail
For orders of 10+ boards. Reserved for established accounts with consistent ordering patterns.
Why Our Wholesale Rate
Our wholesale pricing is higher than standard retail margins because these are truly handmade pieces with significant labor investment. Each board requires two days of skilled work, premium materials, and individual attention. We can't mass produce them, and we don't try to. The pricing reflects the reality of small-batch artisan production.
This structure allows us to maintain the quality and craftsmanship our boards are known for while building sustainable partnerships with retailers who understand the value of genuine handmade goods.
Minimum Orders & Terms
For initial orders, we require 50% deposit to begin production, with the remaining balance due upon delivery. Once we've established a relationship, we can discuss Net 30 terms for reorders. We're flexible with partners who demonstrate consistent ordering and timely payment.
Production Timeline
Because each board is made by hand, production timelines are longer than mass-produced goods. Orders of 3 to 5 boards typically take 6 to 8 weeks from deposit to delivery. Larger orders of 6 or more boards generally require 8 to 10 weeks. We can sometimes accommodate rush orders depending on our current production schedule.
We work in batches to maximize efficiency while maintaining quality. This means we can dye multiple pieces at once and streamline certain steps, but the hand-stitching and finishing still require individual attention for each board. We'll always give you a realistic timeline upfront and keep you updated on progress.
Product Selection
For wholesale orders, we typically work with our core color combinations and standard designs. This allows us to maintain efficient production while still delivering the quality our boards are known for. If you're interested in exclusive colorways or custom designs for your shop, we can discuss that as a separate arrangement.
Each board includes all game pieces, dice, and doubling cube. We package them carefully for retail presentation. If you need specific packaging or labeling for your store, let us know and we'll work with you on that.
Brand Protection
We ask that wholesale partners maintain our suggested retail pricing. This protects the integrity of the brand and ensures fair treatment across all our retail channels. We're happy to discuss exclusive territory arrangements for high-volume partners who can demonstrate consistent sales.
We provide product photography and description copy to help you present the boards effectively in your store or online. We want our retail partners to succeed, and we're here to support you with the materials and information you need.
