How long a board takes to reach you, how it is paid for, and what happens if something is wrong.
Lead times
A board that is ready to ship leaves the studio within 3–5 business days.
A board made to order takes 6–8 weeks once it is agreed, whether it is a change of color or a full commission. We quote one number because every board is made one at a time either way, and we would rather be early than late.
Payment
A board made to order is paid in full once it is agreed. There is no deposit.
You can cancel for a full refund until the leather is cut. Once it is cut, the board is being made for you and the sale is final.
Shipping
Shipping is free within the United States. Outside the United States, it is calculated at checkout.
Returns
A ready-to-ship board can be returned within 14 days of delivery, unused and in its original condition. Return shipping is yours to cover. There is no restocking fee. We refund within 5–7 business days of receiving it.
Boards made to order cannot be returned, except for the defects covered below.
Damage and defects
If your board arrives damaged, tell us within 48 hours and send photographs. We will repair it or refund it in full, whichever you prefer, and help you file the claim with the carrier.
A defect in construction or workmanship is repaired or replaced free.
Repairs
Wear, damage and accidents are not defects, but a board that has been played on for years can almost always be brought back. Write to us, and we will tell you what the work involves and what it costs.
